April 9^th ELECTION DAY:

Here is a great letter to the editor supporting Joe Terrell for Harlem Township Supervisor.

In the race for Harlem Township Supervisor, Joe Terrell, who has previously served on the Winnebago County Board, is running on the issue of transparency and openness of government.

Tuesday is Election Day!  Please don't let the rain slow you down.  Your vote is very important.

Four years ago, the voter turnout was 15%.  The Republican running for Harlem Township Supervisor was decided by 4% of the 15% who voted.  The difference between the two candidates was 205 votes.

205 votes!  That is why it is absolutely vital you go to the polls.  Every vote counts!

I am running a race for Harlem Township supervisor because we have a union backed, Democrat, incumbent who has completely failed to run an open, accessible, transparent, and accountable Township government.  We need new leadership in Harlem Township that will focus on making certain the people of the Township have complete, on-line access to public records.  Government transparency is, specifically, a limited government, fiscal responsiblity issue.  When people know what their government is doing with their tax dollars, their government will be more responsiblie with those tax dollars.

TOMORROW (Tuesday) is election day.  The polls open at 6am and will be open until 7pm.  That means you have 13 hours to get to the polls and cast your vote for the people who will spend the next four years making decisions that directly affect you.  

Will your road be on the "fix list?"

Will your taxes go up?

When you go to the polls on April 9th to vote Joe Terrell for Harlem Township Supervisor, I hope you will take time to vote for a few of my fellow candidates as well...
